It’s all very exciting at huzzah! headquarters at the moment! We’re delighted to announce that our team has grown and would like to introduce you to the latest addition to the huzzah! family, Heba.
Heba (pronounced Heh-Bah, not Heeba) joins us in our Jewellery Quarter office and will be managing client accounts to support them in building their marketing plans. She’s got a wealth of experience in marketing across different industries including software as a service, fashion and hospitality and has a real flair for writing. When she’s not tapping away on client’s social media and planning content strategies, you can find her eyeing up the latest fashion and beauty trends or taking snaps on her camera.
To help you get to know her a bit better, we’ve asked her a few questions.
What have you been up to in your first week?
It’s been busy that’s for sure! I got to meet with a few of our clients to learn more about their businesses, which was great. I’ve also been working on social media internally as well as for one of our clients. Coming up with concepts for our fashion client was extremely cool too.
How did you get into marketing?
I started off on a fashion design course before switching to fashion communication, it was here that I really fell in love with marketing and brand storytelling. By the time I finished, I realised that having fashion as a subject matter was more of a perk than a necessity and, actually, ALL storytelling excited me. From there I decided to broaden my job search and wound up working for a software as a service startup where I was the community manager, and the rest – as they say – is history!
What’s your favourite social media network and why?
That’s a tough one. I would have to say Instagram because I’m quite a visual person and I find there’s a lot of high quality content on there. In terms of marketing, I find it easiest to gain interaction on there, they’re constantly coming up with exciting new features and it’s great for influencer outreach. Twitter is a very close second.
Have you got any marketing pet peeves?
Lightbox overkill is a real bugbear for me! I feel that excessive use or poorly triggered lightbox forms really mess with UX. Also, spammy marketing emails make me sad.
